i seen one of these posted here recently,and with this being winter with not much to shoot.i remembered i had one of these,and decided to play

1 here it is looking normal

2 now lets see what happens when you add more power.this one here the rays were no longer contained in the globe. is this safe

Neither would I. I still perfer the first one. The second one is too dull.

Do you need a longer exposure for the 2nd?

actually i was being a little humurous on the 2nd one. i didnt add more power.i used the zoom out technique. 1 sec at long end ,and 3 at the wide end.i tried all different ways to do it. if i left it at the long end to long you could cleary see the globe.leaving me with two globes in the same image.so this was a compromise. thanks for the replies everyone

Haha...gotcha, very cool though. I had to help out the second one. Hope you didn't mind. (USM, Saturation with a cropping)
