Not your typical experimental pic, but this is my second attempt at a nighttime shot, and the first where I did my own settings.

Yup, that is the moon, taken earlier tonight.

When I ran in the house to grab the camera, it was HUGE and clear. When I got back out, it was covered with thin clouds and glowing brite.

Kitty, if u wait out there for a while and just watch it (Photography = patience!) the clouds usually clear, and shorter exposures for the moon are always better, im stating the obvious here but the moon moves quicker than you think so always comes out blurred...i always get full moon shots at dusk or dawn, it's lighter then to use fast shutter speeds...

Otherwise nice effect....i did one like this on the beach...it turned out super orange and the waves were all soft...it was quite pretty :)

Hi Pixi, yeah, I knew to wait but as it was rising, it was "shrinking" so what can you do? As it rose, it was leaving the trees framing it too.....

I thought about moving to another location but just didn't feel up to it---I have been really sick a few weeks. Normally, I would have been running all over creation looking for the ideal spot to catch it :)

I would have given anything to have my camera when I walked out of class last night and spotted it! It filled up the whole sky where I was. Just WOW!
