OK,

So I grabbed a few of the other shots. This was a pretty lazy test, the pic from a distance was from my chair.

I was really just wanted to see what the "conditions" where like in this bar before I booked my artist. I'll go back and practice some more.

This pic I tinkerd with the Unsharp Mask, I liked it better before I touched it. I'll be curious to see if the new glass will get me any sharper pics. I'm still thinking the way I'm bringing them into my computer and saving them is costing me some quality?

A little soft. A little red. I like the flag in this last one ... has a very Americana feel to it!

The Softness thing is killin' me.

I'm just not sure how to get them sharper? If I do the "autocorrect" in Elements or a couple of the other programs it really brightens them up. The problem is then they lose the mood. I knew the red light was going to be a problem. The sound man told me if I'd hang around for the last set they'd run some white light. I was wore out from a long day so I did not hang out.

Rene has some excellent insight into this redness processing problem, but it may require full PS. You at least need to use Tungsten white balance and may want to learn about Custom White Balance. But don't let it get you down.

I've played a little with white balance, I forgot to adjust that on this "practice". I don't have enough MB in this feable mind! I need to make a check list of things to do.

I'm thinking the biggest problem for now is the 2 places I've shot some pics had just horrible lighting. No spots what so ever. I'm struggling to get 1/30 shutter speed at f/2.8 in most of these shots.

That can be tough.

What I've found is that even a single white light on a performer can work wonders, and won't necessarily ruin the mood of the colored gels...
