B&W What do you Think?

I took this photo in St. Mark's Square in Vencie. Admitally the pigeon was "tempted" onto the subjects head with a piece of bird feed. However, I thought that the captured expression was rather spontaneous. What do you think?

I would like to see more of the square while the focus can remain on the person.

I think that you are right about the expression, but then, why not just frame around that person ?

Otherwise the shot looks a bit faded or thin (grey and low on pixels).

Yes, the expression is wonderful. This is a lovely photo, one the subject will cherish.

Very cool, would be a great post card or greeting card. Excellent composition.

That's a really fun shot that I'm sure you'll cherish for years to come.

It could easily be brightened with Contrast and Brightness adjustments.

Still, it's a lovely shot and there is enough of St Mark's Square visible
to place the location.

I agree with the cropping suggestion. I played a bit in photoshop with cropping (I'm still not very good at this though) but was happier with it without all the background distractions. Also, if more of the subject were visible in this image it might be better and cropping helped that a bit too.

Since you have the full size image, please give it a crop and show us what you can come up with...I think you'll be pleased.
