Hi,

I already posted this in the Share forum, but would also like to hear some comments in the apropriate forum :)

You'll find 12 of my favorite pictures, all of the sunrises / sunsets where taken directly out the window, the cloud shots out of an airplane (who would have figured that one out.. ;)). All where taken with my Canon Powershot S30 and are not manipulated.
Sorry if they are too large for modem users, but I think a certain pic size is required to really see and appreciate all the details.

Here's the link:

Thanks for any comments!

Well, that's what they are: sunsets taken out of a window. Same direction, same buildings, same scene.

I think you should have left them in the share forum!

Sunsets are always seductive -- beautiful colors, etc. However, your compositions offer little but that. Construction cranes and parts of buildings don't offer much interest. Try to work the whole composition for more dramatic photos.

Well, given these critiques, it may be hard to win out of a plane window -- tThe skies are wonderful however. I tended to buy into the UTA crane but the buildings need to be vertical.

Last nite after a rain I drove home under similar skies. As I passed Ottawa's expermental farms the reds were being patterened behind tall pine trees and would have looked gorgeous on-screen. So too, a set of 100 ft wide waterfalls facing west held potential for a future shoot.

Here in the Great White North, the red skies come in the Fall. Be ready!
