Plane/airport photographers.....

Do smaller municipal airports typically have "busy" times of the day, or is there any kind of flight schedule available? Otherwise it seems like my only option to make some decent images is just to camp out and wait.

in the UK, smaller airports typically run comuter flights on monday mornings (return at lunch time) and a simelar flight runing out at lunch on friday and returning that evening.

other than that, just drop by the terminal and check the time tables on the screens?

Some small airports also have special days where they put on display shows etc.. I know because i'm going to be attending a small airshow here in Melbourne, AU which will have some helis and biplanes etc..

It really depends on the airport.. Seems more flight training is being done on the weekdays and the more casual pilot goes out on the weekend... Bein a pilot myself, I'm usually out flying Sunday mornings in search of tha $200 breakfast.. :-P
