Accessing files on camera via the finder

Hi there,

I have just switched from an Olympus C5050z to a Canon G5.
When I connected the Olympus to my Mac (OS X), the camera appeared in the finder as a virtual drive and I could easily access the files and download them to the HD. With the Canon this does not seem to happen.

Is there a similar way to do this with the G3/G5 ?

the canon is not found as an external drive. you can only access the pics through the canon software.

when you plug the 10D in, you can launch iphoto and inport the photos. The easiest way to see the card as an external drive is to use a card reader. the lexar cards come with a jumpshot cable that works well.
