Today I gave taking a photo of my car another try. Here are 2.

It is a 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix. I have had it for 15 years and I'm almost 30. It has the numbers matching 389 and transmition still. The interior looks even better than the outside.
I'd love to hear any comments and critticism.

Very nice shots of your Pontiac...they have the feel and look of the GM promotional photographs from that era. The exposure is excellent....its hard to keep the details from blowing out on white cars, but yours are great. The only edits I would suggest would be to remove the pole that crosses the river in the second shot and see what the first one looks like with about 25% less foreground.

looks like this photo was taken the day it came out of the factory.

Trying to place where you shot those. Mission Bay?

I really like the first one. It looks like it could have been taken in 1962 when the car was brand new. Nice work! :)

Thanks for all the nice comments. It was at a parking lot in Mission Bay. I've been wanting to try this spot for a while. There were some nice clouds today, so I had to give it a try.
Sugarzebra, I agree with both your ideas for edits. Thanks.
My goal is to make the car like it was when it was new. It isn't quite there, but it is definatly getting close.
This was only my second try at shooting my car, but I am very stoked with these.

Great shots of a great car Back when cars looked like something. My last ownership of near that vintage was my 69 Grand Prix model J.

I LOVE that car, what a beautiful creation! I like the 2nd pic more as i think the lake behind it somehow accents the car..

That's a BEAUTIFUL car. As the others have said, these could have been on the original brochures. :D
Dont let anything happen to those wheels either. I dont think they would be very easy to find replacements for. Nice to see it looking all original.

Thanks for the link to your tutorial. I will have to try some of those Ideas soon, after I finish doing some more work to the outside of the car. It is almost there.
Photosguy, you sure put a lot of photos on this site of great cars. Hopefully my car pics will start to look more like yours. Thanks for the tips. And I have to mention the baracuda in your link..........HOT!!!

make sure you make a box around the car and saturate it more than the outside of the box (background) ;)
