Hi James;

My son & I went this morning (opening day) and it was VERY quiet. We were home before supper and got lots of unobstructed shots and got to sit in lots of exotic cars.

VW has been using the red grill since 1976 when they introduced the first GTI in europe. The GLI moniker was used in North America starting in 1984.

A little known fact is that all VW passenger cars use names of winds. Eos, in Greek mythology was mother to the four winds.
