There was a massive power outage today and with all classes cancelled, a friend and I headed out for some fun. Our model was extremely cooperative and we had the chance to take him to several different locations:

1) Doug relaxing in the grass

2) Doug playing in the fallen branches from the wind

3) Doug taking a moment to look at earth's beauty :)

These are really fun. I like the way you've given the model personality

I dunno, he looks a bit stiff to me. I'm sure he'll get used to it though. :) Wacky idea, very cool.

I do wonder what your women friends are like   but maybe I should try not to! Your little mate certainly seems a happy chappie.

Thanks! My friend was pretty good at posing the thing. The face makes it all! :)

Thank you. We had a couple poses that didn't work out because of the wind. He tips over pretty easily.

After the modification with the Sharpie, he certainly was fun! We were first going to make he look 'suprised', but changed our minds. :)

I wish he was stiff. With almost every pose we had to set him up...then I'd have by bud hold him still and quickly run out of the frame while I snapped it.

Thanks for the comment.

This Doug fellow is just something I pulled out from pure boredom. Certainly not something I do on a regualar basis.

If you want to see doug dance, then watch this (you need audio):

Chris,

Dancing Doug is hysterical!

As to the photos, very creative! An off shoot of this could be to use a non-permanent marker (or get several Doug heads) and do different expressions a la Jack from the Jack in the box adds. Just a thought.

Good work!

Doug needs some pants.

Ha, you guys are funny. Thanks.

Turnerzdad: A friend of mine actually wanted to do this...he actually had the timer to cut several small pieces of paper and made some new faces. Maybe when the power goes out again!! :)

bolantej: I agree. The amount of photoshopping needed to make these images appropriate was a lot of work. It would have been a lot easier to give him pants! :)
