I mean who could possibly be happy amongst all those toys?!?

Don't mind the quality. It was a quick snap (I woke him so there was no time to fuss with settings).

This is my new little man, Ben. He's not spoiled.

Thanks for the replies!

Stoney: I work in a holistic food pet store (we don't sell live animals), and although we work with rescue associations (donations, adoptions, etc), this little guy came from a local breeder who's been breeding show dogs for 10+ years. He's a purebred (and VERY wellbred) Golden Retriever, and is just days past 8 weeks old.

Thats fantastic, Actually I thought you might be getting a discount on all the puppy toys.   Looks like you could use one to continue spoiling the cute little guy.

Oh yes, that too. Not so much discounts, but I just work a few extra days a month (and in a month I can take him to work with me). It's a good deal for everyone involved.

"Will work for dog supplies". lol

Skade: He's definitely spoiled rotten, but he's SO well behaved! He already knows "leave it", "sit", "out", "off", "come here" (though that one's a puppy thing... all puppies come when theyr'e called). And he retrieves his toys when I throw them. Brings them right back to me! He's definitely got brains. Now onto leash training. He's not happy about the leash at all (independent little snot, he is).

Yeah, I'm not excited either... lol ;)

Spirit... I have never heard of a holistic food pet store ? I have an enormous cat that I would LOVE too put on a diet of something ? I want too keep him around for years {5 yrs old now } too come is there anything I can sprinkle too cut the appetite he is always too hungry .. yet he is also very active . He can run... the whole backyard and fast too ...jump off bathroom faucet water needs and counters however I do have concerns .
I tried everything but a vet .
I dont want him starving .. too pig out later . That happened already .

Any suggestions ? Yola

9/10 times the animal craves more food because it's starving for nutrition. This is usually the case with cheap quality brands (ie. anything you can pick up at a grocery store). Innova, Wellness, Royal Canin, California Natural, Go... these are all good food. Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Fancy Feast... are not. Innova "Evo" is a high protien food. Your cat will eat less, and feel full longer (kind of like eating a big steak), but because of the high protein, overeating this food can cause weight gain quite easily. Sorry, I'm not sure what to tell you without knowing what you've tried.

And what's your obsession with toys getting ripped? LOL! My breeder's been doing this for almost 10 years (1-2 litters a year, on average) and not one of her dogs has shown destructive behavior with their toys. And before you ask, yes I've met most of them (the puppies from previous litters), and know a couple of them well (friends of mine own one from her previous litters).

After the puppies leave her house, she keeps in touch with all the buyers (calls herself Grandma lol) by having "puppy parties" a couple times a year. Last summer I went to one at one of her parties (through the GRCBC) at a local park. She rented out a section that had tables and a little hut, and we all did fun stuff like agility, tracking, hunting (rubber duck)...

She tests (and pays for) all the bloodwork, xrays, etc (heart, ears, eyes, hips, etc) on all her puppies to ensure they're in good health before breeding. If one fails an eye (for example), she won't breed it. All her breeding dogs are show dogs (as will mine be).

CUTE!

There's a BIG difference between "purebred", and "wellbred", my friend. ;) Good breeders are hard to find. I'm proud to say that I completely lucked out with her. I met her last year through my manager at work (who has a 15 month old of hers, and is also good friends with her).
