Sarah Mcleod used to play in a band called "The Superjesus" who recieved moderate Australian success as an alternative band. She has suince gone ouot as a solo and accoustic performer. She performed an exceptional set at this intimate venue. Sarah has an excellent stage presence and loves telling the tale behind her the songs she has written.

The conditions, were like most pub shows very difficult with the added issue of the fact that most of the punters seated in rows, more like a recital than a rock concert.

I shot most images with the 20D and 28-75mm f/2.8 and some with the 50mm f/1.8 at ISO 1600-3200.

Sarah McLeod with a little assistance from Mick Skelton on drums.

Oh, yes, another beauty! Very nice images. Love the use of the candleabra in the first. Color balance in the third seems to have slipped to the magenta a touch. I much prefer the light touch of acoustic to the slam of amps and these images have that feeling.

Thanks Dwight and Richard. It was a mighty strange gig for me...very sedate compared to the rock'n'roll shows. But Sarah is an incredible talent who makes it easy to get good shots despite being an acoustic performer.

Great work here Angus, good compositions using the available props and some nice action.

I dig the last shot!

Nice stuff.

I had to shoot a band on Saturday that was, without question, one of the worst bands I've ever heard. At least one of us got to hear some good music...

top shots at the Sandy hotel there. I prefered her in the Superjesus than her solo stuf. I've seen the Superjesus many times play at various festivals. She's got a good voice. Nice photos.. Good stuff.

Ah, I used to love the Sandringham in the 90's, it was my home for so long, especially on Sundays when the Shout Brothers used to play (RIP Stevie).

Nice to see the legacy continues in some manner :)

I like # 3 very much. #1 looks a bit OoF to me. Nice capture of atmosphere!
