I took this image a few years ago while on vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee with my family. It was taken with my Sony f-717 P&S camera which was all I had before I finally got my Canon DSLR. My Sony was fine in it's day, but I'm really spoiled now and haven't taken my old camera out in quite awhile.

Thanks for looking. Your comments are always appreciated. :D

Did I post this picture in the wrong category? Even though it's not really a macro shot, should I have put it in the Macro category? :(

Either/or I'd say. Fantastic shot Joel!

Thanks Ann. I can always count on you for a kind word. :D

Maybe this picture doesn't belong in this category or in the Macro category. Maybe we need a new category. We can call it, "The Birds & the Bees" category.

it is a nice shot from a very respectable camera. the 707 and 717 are both very capable cameras.

Great shot Joel, since it is not a 1:1 shot, I would say that this forum is the proper forum. Great composition and capture.

JaertX, I actually wasn't very interested in upgrading to a DSLR because I was so happy with my 717. But now that I've traveled into the light, I can never go back. ;)
