First effort at posting to this forum ...

The standard Sydney pictures but we're about to leave so I had to take them.

Good/bad?? I can take it!

2nd photo is my fav becaue of the lighting but there is way too much sky here that does not add anything to the photo. Crop out about 70% of the sky and it will be much better.

Also on the first image it needs a bit more sky and it needs a slight crop on the far left to take out that black bit.

Martin.

Unfortunately the are out of focus or suffered from hand shake. Like the second one though.

Thanks for the comments.

Yeah - they do look a bit out of focus. I think I had them linked to the Pbase resized versions rather than the original. I've updated the links - still a bit fuzzy but I think they're better than before.

Definitely agree that there's too much sky in the second one. I'm thinking about maybe adding something to it later (stars/moon) when I figure out how to use Photoshop properly.

Cheers.

A much photographed scene but that shouldn't stop people
from taking their own.

In the top one, if you were unable to change position,
I'd use the clone tool and cut off the top of the building
by a few mms so that it is clear of the bridge.
It looks a bit like part of the bridge as it is.

Second one has more interesting colour.
Way too much sky as you know.
Also I'd straighten it as the tower is leaning and so is the block
of apartments.
Here too I'd use poetic licence and cut off the top of the building
so that it is clear of the bridge. Easily done.

The second one is definitely a keeper.

When I got the photos back on my computer I noticed that dodgy apartment block in the middle of the bridge. I somehow didn't notice it while taking the pics and haven't noticed in any postcards/panoramas of the bridge.

Maybe everybody clones it out??

The photos were both taken from Mrs Mcquaries Point. It's quite a small area and unless you've got a boat/plane/helicopter then you're fairly stuck with that position. I'll give the cloning a try.
