The first one is a Barrows taking off with common goldeneyes. Barrows being the first male to the right (notice crescent shape cheek mark). Second is a mallard in early morning light.
Tks 4 looking!

Great captures, and for a Mallard shot that is darn good. ;-)

Nice action on the the fist shot Marc and i will have to get down there when I have more reach. The Mallard shot is excellent. The bird takes on a special look in this shot. Perfect timing, light is excellent and you have to love that pose.

The mallard is very nice, but the Goldeneyes (lucky you to see the Barrow's)are superb. Great action.
