You oughta be ashamed of yourself!!!

There are yankee's back east suffering the hardships of snow and ice right now, and you had to go and rub it in with this beautiful image of a fantastic scene!

Shame shame!

:D

EF-S 18-55 kit lens on a Rebel XT. I guess I got a good one. : ) Thanks for the nice comments!

My son was in Carlsbad two years ago and loved it. He said the weather was so perfect all the time. I'm convinced I better give that 18-55 kit lens another try. Did you use a tripod?

Actually no, this was a lucky hand held shot (for me anyway).... 1/13th @ f/11

Yeah! What he said!

I can only see one thing wrong with this photograph. I didn't take it!

Absolutely stunning. For sharing this beautiful shot I'll forgive you for rubbing your nice weather in our faces! :)

great blue sky and the lighting on the rocks is amazing. the right side of the pic is a little bight though...even cropping some of that out wouldnt hurt the scene

very nice...definitely has the wow factor.

But, what's that in the sky over there to the right?

That is a sea gull that was passing by, the 1/13th shutter speed has him as just a blur though.

How dare you? There are people in this world freezing their bunns off right now and you rub this in? Shame, shame, shame.

Wait, I'm retired. I can run down there if I want. Hmmm....

Beautiful shot. That kit lens is much maligned for no good reason. You obviously know how to use it.

Oh yea... you got a real winner there Skip. You've already made our POTN members in the freezing north jealous, now I suggest you frame it and hang it up to make all the wannabe photographers in your neighborhood jealous too.

Great shot. Love the light, the perspective and the location. :D

I lived down there awhile ago.. ofcourse that was BC (before camera).. and sometimes I just get itchy to go back.. especially the farmers market in OB on wednesdays, and the burritos from Albertos, and sitting on the beach watching the surfers waiting for sunrise. it truly is a beautiful place.

Yeah I was using a cir polariser for that shot Mike...I kinda boofed it up though and did not rotate the filter properly as you can see. I wish the sky color was a bit more even, but oh well!
