Lily pad

I took a little road trip this weekend and snagged this (among many other things)

You have done a nice job on this shot, it is in focus, colors are right, great depth of field, but it is not an interesting shot. Perhaps a lily flower (probably wrong time of year) or a leafy pad that appears more healthy with a bug on it. Share some of your other things.

Since it was the only pad in sight, I shot it :) Winter on the coast was a bit dismal this weekend. Cold and rainy. The surface ripples (especially around the pad), dark water, water droplet on the pad, orange spot, sandy bottom, even the stem of the lily pad disappearing into the blackness... all of them seemed to work for me.

But I understand what you are saying. It's a dark image... not bright or "active". It's more about the end of a season than the beginning...
