Hi everyone, I came across these forums after lurking around the countless other Canon-related discussion boards. POTN seems to have the most mature and enthusiastic crowd. I'll deffinately stick around! Anyway, my passion with photography started in high school, while I had a part-time job as a wedding videographer.... while obviously very different from photography, I learned many things about compositon, WB, etc. In 2003 I went out and got my first digicam, a Toshiba 4300, which I used until August 2005. After almost two years, I felt confident enough to step up to the dSLR world, so I did a bit of research and decided to buy an XT. I've taken about 15,000 pics with the camera in the past 7 months, that's how much I love it :-) My current equipment consists of the kit lens + the 50mil mkII. I do a lot of street/landscape photography so in the near future I plan on replacing the kit lens with either the 17-40L or the Tamron 17-35 F2.8-4 (it really depens on my available budget... I'm a broke and stressed medical student). I also want to get the 430EX, as I find the on-camera flash very restrictive. Anyway, have a look at gallery below if you have time!
Cheers,
Lorand
