Had the lens for a couple of months now but have yet to go out, but I did find the time and this was what I got. No editing done apart from CROP

Thoughtfully composed and the light through the tree is right on the money: good one, Raymate! :-) I'd like a 17-40 myself. ;-)

I've recently bought that lens myself, and other than just playing around with it, haven't actually gone out and used it.

That's a nicely composed photo. I'm looking forward to tomorrow night when I'm collecting my new 17-40 lens from kerso's sister! :D :D :D

Quite right Marie, the better lens will help take a better quality of photo, but a good photo is far more than just the optics and electronics, it's the human behind the camera that sees a nice image and composes it in an aesthetically pleasing fashion. That is the trickiest part of photography, and that was what Raymate has managed to achieve.

Thank you all for the comments and kind words . looking forward to getting to grips with this lens but like you say you can have the best kit every made but you also need an eye. Sounds like I'm on the right track :)
