This Old Stump

I posted this photo some time ago; however I have reworked it in PS Elements. The shot was taken during the fall in the shade of the woods. I was looking for a semi painterly feel. Comments please . Canon G3

To be honest, Reigh, the "artistic" processes don't really move me. This one seems fine for what it is, just not my cup of tea.

I think it looks nice...hard to get a good feel for it being so small and all. Just one thing, why the dark spot in the lower left, I find it quite distracting.

Reigh you've managed the "painterly" feeling quite well, although I think the effect would be improved if the foreground leaf litter looked a bit more "painterly". I think that there is still too much detail with all the branches and this takes my eye away from the stump.

I like this Reigh. The old stump is predominant and well lit. Nice painting effect and thanks for showing it.
