I've started to play a bit more with the macro setting on the A70. Here's a couple of sample shots from walking around the yard.

That last one is great... looks as if the lizard is saying "Hey man, what are you doing?".

Thanks. :)
The head is out of focus, giving it an almost photoshop fake pasted on look. Next time I'll need to slow the shutter and and have a smaller aperture (larger fstop number) to get more depth of field to bring the entire body into focus.
I did use autofocus and the camera focused on the body instead of the head. I may have to start experimenting with manual focus next.

I enjoy taking pictures of lizards, but they're really hard to get up close like that.
