This competition is a way of showcasing your best photographs from the last year. Its all in the name of fun so please don't take it too seriously! Everyone is welcome to enter and I look forward to seeing all the great submissions!

Prizes! UncleDoug has very kindly offered to send the winner, free of charge, a 18x27 print of your winning photo on either PhotoSemiGloss, hot or cold press rag or gloss canvas.

Entry requirements:

The photo must have been taken in the 12 months preceding the closing date
The photo must not have been entered in the 2004 POTN photographer of the year contest
Each member may submit one photo to each of the contests
This photo may be changed at any time up to the closing date for submissions
Post processing - nothing that substantially changes the original composition of the image.
Photos must be no larger than 800 pixels at the longest dimension. Also, please try and keep the filesize down to under 200k if possible to make viewing the gallery easier for modem users.
No framing of pictures, text or copyright notices.

There are 2 photos already that don't seem to be landscape or cityscape. One is the ocean, and one is inside a building.
How interpretive can the rules be?

I'm happy that both of those photos could be comfortably defined as landscape or cityscape. However, the bottom line is that it's your contest. If you don't think it qualifies, then don't vote for it.

Definition of Landscape according to princeton - an expanse of scenery that can be seen in a single view

Definition of Cityscape - An art work whose subject is the physical aspects of a city-streets, buildings, etc.

IMO all photos entered thus far meet either one or both definition...

Also, if your photo isn't amongst those uploaded, it will almost certainly be because it is more than 200kb or 800 pixels on the longest side. Please adjust your photo and resend.

I'm maybe a bit dumb :o: But does the picture have to have been taken after the mddle of march of last year or is it any picture of the year? (I have a january picture...)

There is a hint in the Competition rules:

What is the email adress I send the picture into? LOL...Sorry, I was confused cuz you spelled it out...ok so I am an idiot...LOL

Why is the display page with the pictures submited so far so dark? Is it just my monitor? I can hardly see the two pictures...

How do I see the photos?? I found them before and voted.
I cant' do it now. Not vote I already did that. I want to see the photos of this and the next contest.
Can a person post a different photo once posted? (cityscape/ landscape)
