Part of my Seattle trip.

This is the view from my Grandparent's back yard. 9/10ths of an acre of lakefront property. Through the years, I have accumulated hundreds of daytime shots. I finally brought a tripod and a camera that could do the evening shots justice.

C&C Please.

this is really nice but i think a little curves will keep the effect yet bring out more detail ,but it is nice.

Nice... play around with levels or curves on PS as gyrob says. Did you try longer exposures? Then again, the light would have blown out...

gyrob,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Would you mind posting an example of what you are thinking of? I am having a hard time coming up with an edit where more detail enhances the shot.

Yes, somewhere inbetween. More towards the original, the low light is part of the mood.

Good work Radtech.

I'm with Gyrob on this. I like the shot, but it's a little too dark for me. I did curves on the photo and it made it less dark - somewhat like what Gyrob posted. Though I notice that in Gyrob's version, the sky is pretty discolored.

Hey Rad, great shot - but I couldn't resist having a quick play.

Curves, saturation, sharpening. Just a little more pop.

Hope you agree.

OK, the consensus seems to be that it is too dark. I actually was targeting very low luminosity, but I guess I overshot the mark. How does this compare? I added a Screen Layer to bring up the brights, and a Soft Light Layer to pull the darks back down. Better?

Perfect. (Holy cow- that's the first time I've said that). I better give you a 9/10, just in case someone comes up with a better photo.

Nicely done.
