PSE3 problems

Ok, i have been getting this one error message whenever i load up Elements. The first thing i get is as follows: "Application falied to launch correctly." and this one follows it: "Unable to continue because of a hradware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable." This all started to happen because i removed PSE3 from my computer by mistake, then i loaded it on again, and i'm getting this stuff, this is the first time it's doing this to me. Here is some information you might find useful about my computer: I am running Photoshop Elements 3.0 on a DELL Inspiron 5100 laptop w/ windows XP, 384 mbs RAM, 50 GB of free disk space, and a 16 mb Ati mobility Radeon video card. I need this problem fixed fast, because i have many pictures to edit for my deadline this upcoming Monday. Cany anyone please help!

I was tearing my hair out (if I had any!). In the end it was solved by uninstalling, deleting the adobe files in the C:/programfiles/common files/adobe directory and reinstalling.

This might help you too. I ended up doing a directory search for all files/directories called adobe or photoshop and deleting them!
