The 30D was reveiwed in Sydney Morning Herald yesterday and was even advertised for sale (taking orders) for $3200 aus. Is it released in the USA and how much is it in US dollars?

A local camera shop here in the Washington, DC area is taking pre-orders on it at $1399 US dollars, for the body... $1499 for the body and a kit lens.

well thats about 2,000 australian dollars so 1200 saving...

as i said, some place started advertising it for 3200 aus and i was in the city today and i have conned a salesman down to 2,000 already, and it's not even released, so thats closer to the US amount
