canon 28-70 2.8L vs 24-70 2.8L

Is it better to hold off and save up the extra approx. $300 to get the 24-70 over the 28-70?

They extra 4mm is worth it otherwise you'll have to get a fixed 24mm. Maybe not such a bad idea as it won't "Barrel" as much as the zoom.
