which camera setting should I choose to shoot autoshow? I used the sport mode that allowed me to shoot quickly without waiting for timer for flash. I hate timer for flash. Can someone recommend to me a better way? I have the rebel XT and sigma 18-200mm lens.

I usually use program mode and choose whatever white blance looks closest to the lighting there. You will find that the lighting will change drasticaly very often in an auto show. I do not like using flash as it usually detracts from the lighting effects already set up around the cars. So either use a bit higher iso or practice holding the camera very still for the longer shutter speeds. I would also recommend using a circular polarizer to take the glare off the cars. I find alot of times the odd lighting throws off the metering and blows out the highlights so I like underexposing car show shots a bit and then massaging the levels later in photoshop.
I love car shows because you get to take the most absurd automotive photos there. Maserati in a living room with an armed gaurd? Sure why not!
