Even more Sunseeker shots 56K beware

Well it seems as though half of the UK part of the forum were in Bournemouth for the Sunseeker rally and most seemed to have been in Wareham, so I may as well join this band waggon with my selection of shots from the 2 days. I clocked up just over 800 miles on this event and spent Friday in the aptly named winter gardens for the 2 runs of the spectator special, there were huge crowds as normal who seemed to enjoy the nights entertainment. Saturday was spent where else but in Wareham ;), I drove into the stage to about the mid point and stayed there all day, anyway here are a few shots from me.

nice work Ian, like the Perez Focus shot...what sort of flashgun did you use on what settings? trying to get my head around flash not in P mode at the moment!

did the black MkII safety car end up binned? don't remember seeing it when we were at Ringwood the second time around...

favourite of this selection is a sideways Johnson.

Ian - I'm impressed with your dedication (800 odd mile round trip) and, of course, with the shots you got. Luv that one of Craig Middleton - superb timing - although I hope you managed to avoid the clarts being thrown up!!.

Excellent work Ian, I said you'd trump us all! I particlularly like the flaming Land Rover.

As for driving into the stage, you lucky, lucky.... but even were I allowed I haven't got the ground clearance for it. I damn near lost the front splitter trying to get into the Wareham "car park". :rolleyes:

Hi Dave thanks for the comments :), I used the Canon 580ex for the flash shots in manual at about 1/2 power, the camera was in manual also 1/160th shutter at f5.6 on iso 400

yes the black MKII binned it, he ended up in a ditch somewhere and they couldn't get it out:cry:

Thanks Glenn :) driving into the stage was no problem, however getting out did involve some careful manouvering around some very deep ruts:cry:

The guy wasn't going to let a little thing as the engine compartment on fire slow him down:rolleyes: he carried on a full speed to the end of the stage and then took care of it, however he did retire 4 stages later with electrical failure:rolleyes:

Yes he had an argument with a rather large hay bale on SS8 (i think) he did say at the finish "well at least the back looks OK"
