OK,

I posted these awhile back and liked the comments. I have been practicing a little with PS Elements and would like to now know what you guys and gals think of these.

These were taken at a local tavern/bar and grill. I only took about 20 shots because I was there actually trying to book a friend and do an open mic. I took my gear so I could check out the venue for future shots. The only light on the artist was a low red light.

I don't like the big border, I think PS made it larger because I had already re-sized the pics. Next time I'll do the border and then re-size.

Something you may find, and which looks like the case in the second shot, is that you'll end up focusing on the microphone and not the singer's face.

Hey, it happens.

Everything looks much better than the last time, with the exception that, now, I can actually see what kind of guitar he's playing.

'Tis tragic...

I can totally relate on the capo thing. I've had a ton of useable shots, but been bitten by capo headstock obstruction.

Hehehehe... It's not the capo I take issue with.

I'm a Regional Sales Manager for Taylor Guitars...

Ehm. Will you laugh and laugh if I ask, what is capo?? It sounds quite painful, actually - did it hurt?

A "Capo" is really just a clamp. You can see it on the headstock of a bunch of guitarist. The "capo" when placed on a specific "fret" of a guitar will give the artist the ability to play friendly guitar chord "shape", yet it make the sound of a differnt key then the hand position.

I hope that helps, if not stick to taking pictures!

The way the flag creates a "horizon" and it cuts in the middle is distracting...you might want to think about changing the crop slightly...you could even ps the flag lower...

Cheers,
