The bokeh and the clarity of the subject complements each other very well...you almost have a 3d feel to it.

Can I know what lens and camera setting?

No peeping allowed while mother nature goes about her work....:D :D

The first two look more like cricket or katydid though.

You are too kind. Glad you like them. I'm using Tamron 90mm macro 2.8 Di for all my macro work. The setting are as follows
#1 1/80s, f9, iso 400 handheld with fill
#2 1/100s, f9, ios 800 handhled natural light
#3 1/160, f8, iso 800 handhled with fill

I did use flash for #1 and #3. #2 is natural light.

Ops, You are right! I think they look more like cricket:o :)

UK insects look so dull by comparison! Maybe global warming will help - we have large flocks of noisy Parakeets now.

Nice work Melvyn! Very impressive. Rick, Brian and Omri: Melvyn looks like he's trying to steal your crown ;) hehehe.

I like all of them, but my fave is #3 - the look on their faces says it all, it's sort of a "you taking a photo of me?" look!
