Here are a couple images I took during last weeks La Fiesta de los Vaqueros parade in Tucson. I shot both of them with my 70-300mm zoom on my Canon 20D as the subjects approached my position along the parade route. The parade is advertised as the largest non-mechanized parade and all the wagons are drawn by horses and mules. The first image of the wagon was shot at 70mm focal length with an exposure of 1/500 seconds at f/8, ISO 200. The second of the cowgirl on horseback was shot at a focal length of 190mm with an exposure of 1/640 seconds at f/8, ISO 200.

This sure looks like an interesting parade. It seems that the women in both pics are happy to see you. Do you have any shots of a Conestoga wagon?

No, I didn't see any Conestoga wagons in the parade - most of them were open wagons topped with waving people. There were a few wagons that were almost Conestogas, but none that I got a picture of.

Fun shots! Check out the POTN meeting forum. We are working on an Arizona get together.

Nice shots, looks like it was a fun parade. Do you have more you could post?
