Was sitting on the bus and noticed this steady stream of identical cars driving by so I fired off a quick shot. :D

Very well done :)
Could someone please tell me how to get a photo B&W and then bring in colour?! It looks wonderful...

Interesting crop TLee05. I didn't crop so tight just to keep that last pink car still in shot but I still like yours.
Dragonfli Spirit; I just converted to b+w through channel mixer and then used the history brush and manually "repainted" those pink cars. There's probably a more graceful or efficient way of doing it though.

Maybe you can tell that pink is not my favorite color for a vehicle. :):)

Nor mine, but the shot is great - wonderful being in the right place at the right time, eh bowser?

Looks like they're all coming from the manufacturer and headed to a corporate customer. All the license plates are nearly identical.

It is bizarre, and it's a cool shot of picking up something that stands out like that (a bunch of pink cars). I think the partial desaturation doesn't work for me though, it seems almost too obvious. I mean, had you not done it everyone would have still noticed that all the cars are pink, and the shot would have likely had a nicer aesthetic IMO. Making just the obviously pink cars the only thing in colour is kind of like drawing on the photo with a highlighter and drawing arrows pointing where you want the viewer to look ;)
Composition is really nice too, even with the van cutting them off I think it still works nicely with that crop

Thanks for all the comments guys, and it is indeed a great feeling to have the camera to hand at the right time!

Great capture of a fleeting moment! (Pun intended). The selective coloration does seem to work a bit, but as stated before it does seem pretty obvious. I would prefer that the whole picture be desaturated a bit, but not totally devoid of color, except for the cars which would be in full pink color. Let's see how that pans out.
