Here is a shot I took today whilst visiting: http://www.scottishfalconry.co.uk/ Still to sort through the rest but at a glance they are not too great. I am however Happy with this one. Please feel free to c&c and I am open to image manipulation. He is Scottish in as far as he was born here ;)
Cheers Ricky

I was thinking about trying to tweak it for you and then I figured if it was mine I would leave as is. Very well done.

Great detail in the beak and eye and the eye is quite magical in this shot....so clear. My only suggestion would be to try toning down the highlites on the head and then a slight increase in contrast to make it pop. Beautiful in any case!

wonder how he relates to the Scottish national bird the golden eagle.

Ricky,i`ve been meaning for long time now to give this place a go,but after i read about the things they do (from the link you gave us) i`m deffenetly going there.
One question though...i take it you took the half day hunting thing for £75 ?
If yes,do they give to fly the eagles or thats included in the whole day hunting ?

Ricky. love the shot, if there was one criticism i would direct at it, and its only a small one, it could use a little more space to the right of frame, to give the eagle some space to look into, it feels a little claustrophobic to me, but it is beautifully sharp ! :)

dv2004 you have to go to this place it is a fantastic day out. I cannot comment for other Falconry places but I can say this place is very very professional Adrian the owner seems to know all there is to know about the sport of Falconry. I choose the full day package which was around £160 which included the afternoon hunt with the harris hawks (superb afternoon) you can do the cheaper package where you "meet the birds" which I done in the morning this is also superb, it was at this point I met the Bald Eagle this was the male who was only around 7lbs in weight, his big sister weighs in around 12lb's  You didnt let me know what you thought of the shot? I am keen to know your opinion as I am very aware of the shots you have been producing recently (1st class) If you go to Pheonix say hi to Adrian and Spencer for me, I intend to visit again at the back end of the year:lol:

Colin thanks for the praise mate I know it must have stuck in the throat saying that:D :D I will post some of to you when I get around to running them PS;)

IanC_UK Cheers Ian I know exactly what you are saying the problem I had, I was trying to only capture the head so as not to show any of the falconry equipment, I also only had very little time to shoot as the other guests were all trying to get good shots, it was taken in a car park where if not shot tight it may have had a very bright red car in the shot, given the chance again I would have shot from a slightly different angle and given him some space to look into. Thanks for the very constructive critisism appreciate it. Ricky
