Hey thanks a lot!

Just some high pass filter for the sharpness, and playing with vignetting in photoshop and light room.

The weather was bright and the ground snowy, making his eyes glow like they do in the picture ;)

We had two red suited visitors this Christmas...............

The first conventional one:

f/4, 1/400, +1EV, 24mm fl, ISO 2000 (both)

http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h4/rcorreale/SantaVisit2.png

http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h4/rcorreale/SantaVisit.png

The second one, not so conventional:

f/4, 1/400, 105mm fl, ISO 500

http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h4/rcorreale/Cardinal.png

This cardinal flew into our window with a loud thud and fell motionless to the ground, my son-in-law who happens to be a veterinarian went outside, picked it up and held it in his hands to keep it warm until it came to at which point it stayed perched on his finger for about 15 min. and then flew away.

Happy New Year everyone!

Yeah... I think even the aforementioned "hairy" quality has been brought way out of proportion by the PP. But that peach fuzz is the only thing that prevents her from looking completely like an action figure! Show us the original shot, man!

I'd either focused on the closest the red, 24-hour tenant-parking only signs, or the closest of the cement 'TITI NAILS' parking bumper thingies. I generally don't try too hard to figure out the hyperfocal length for a shot, but it looks like I was on it by chance this time! Thanks.

There must be a building with glass or shiny reflective facade off to the right of the frame that's reflecting the morning light back. Great quality of light and excellent capture.

Yep, exactly! There's a couple multi-story office buildings to the right of the frame and also behind where I was standing, so they were casting the long morning light back at the scene. Reflected light is fantastic to find out in the wild.

Natural lighting only in the very late afternoon. Sun was setting behind the hills. We were at a spot that overlooks the Golden Gate Bridge. At that hour, it's easy to see why they call it the Golden Gate! :D

I thought 800x600 was the resolution limit on here, so it looks smaller than the images above.
What is the actual limit?
The vignetting sort of looks nice here.

Interesting combination. The food and the second word are purely French, yet the first word is English. What is the origin of that plate and the food on it? Is it a bit of France that has been retained in maybe Louisiana?

Continuing my 100 Stranger project on Flickr, here's my latest street portrait of a guy named Johnny I found on Santa Monica pier yesterday morning. Total stupidity. A single fly in the eye of the driver and they're both toast.

In this country (Belize) steps have recently been taken to enforce the wearing of helmets, but only vy the driver. I've never seen a pillion passenger wearing one, not even when they're police on duty. The helmets worn ore generally cycling helmets, and I don't recall ever seeing one with the chin strap fastened.

See few snowing shoots and feeling the chill ;)

Anyone see similar things in other cities rather than Florence, Italy?

Why so many stranger put their lock together?

I have the like photo from Heilbronn, Germany (http://www.flickr.com/photos/h-studio/5448863544/). I do not show it here because it was made with 70-200 4L IS.
