I'd say it is just your camera -- lenses don't just switch WB like that, but cameras certainly can! If you are shooting in a variety of conditions, either be ready to change WB settings or shoot Raw so you can change things around in PP.

Because I have the most awesome wife in history, I am now also the owner of this fine lens. As a birthday present she wanted to get me an every day, do everything, lens with the fewest compromises -- and, knowing I'd never spend the money on myself she went out on a limb and bought me a 24-105mm f/4.

For me, even on a 1.6 crop, the focal range is really nice and it seems nice and sharp at all apertures. Here is a sample of the first few shots with this great lens.

Great shot. Really love the clarity your pulling out in your pictures. Great sharpness. I'm assuming your using a polarizer, but you seem to be able to capture the shots without much atmospheric haze! Well done.

Ordered the 24-105 today. Going to give it a run for it's money this weekend at the Beale AFB Airshow. Might try using a polarizer on some shots. Looking forward to some sweet shots :)

Looks like I got one of the last 24-105's. B&H was out this morning. I ordered it at last night. Also, the supply of most popular "imported" lenses are out of stock. Looks like a tough road ahead if you are looking for a new Canon lens.

I have barely used mine since owning it (about 3 weeks?). I need to get out more. Great image quality from my testing. I still don't get why many people freak out about using this on a crop. If you need wider, that's what UWA's are for imo.

I agree. I love my 24-105L on my crop.....and then I have my Sigma 10-20 for UWA.....I did sell my 17-40L as it seemed to be too much overlap on the crop however.

Works for me and does a damn good job! :lol:

I am seriously looking forward to playing with mine. I have the Canon 10-22 for my UWA ;) I am really looking forward to the extra reach of the 105mm over my outgoing Tamron 17-50.
