This is a Hotel in Port Adelaide, Adelaide Australia. It's said that the Port had the most number of pubs in Australia once with one on every corner.

This is a historic port with a lot of renovations happening. More to follow

A pub in every corner? That's quite a distinction. I'd like to see more of the restoration, preferably much closer. Thanks for sharing.

Wow that looks just like the old corner pubs over here in Perth! Seriously almost identical... I will get some shots and show ya! Nice one!

I've been to several similar looking corner pub places when in Aussie. Very much an Aussie look. I miss them: good cheapish grub and friendly, helpful service. The beer always sucks tho' ;-)

Yes this is a pretty typical Aussie corner pub.

I hope your not comparing good Aussie beer to that Bud crap ;)

Sir, if you think I am the kind of person to drink fizzy Czech beer (or even less the weedy AmeriKan corporate version!) then you are mistaken. A good hearty bitter ale is what we English love. Frankly, I don't give a XXXX for Aussie beer, but it's a fine land and fine people.

Great shot, Peter - in fact, it could be taken in a lot of Aussie towns and cities - the corner pubs are legendary (and everywhere). Not many look as well preserved as that one, though.

Maybe we should try for an Aussie pub thread - post as many different styles as we can find...
