Hi,
I'm new to the world of digital photograhy and just purchased a G2....I find that the pictures I take on the Auto setting come out underexposed.....
I have to brighten them using abode after I upload them..
What am I doing wrong..is there a setting on the G2 that I can tweak?
Thanks in advance..

Hi Junglee,
1) Are you sure that the problem is not your monitor? Is it calibrated?
2) What is the setting of your camera for the Contrast (should be 0)

Hi Dan,
I believe the monitor is calibrateb...but just for interests sake...how do you recommend calibrating it....maybe I'm missing step here...
The double checked the contrast and it's set to 0
Thanks,

exposure lock in P mode can also help (see p. 75)

It seems like auto mode + built in flash are not very useful in low light.
The picture below was taken, probably, in similar low light conditions. I took this picture in Av mode (f/5.6) with AEB, Flash off:

The image is not modified. Well, I just made it smaller, and the original image looks much more sharp (it's still large 400kb).
