I passed along the way............in my neighborhood. Not sure if I even like these images myself or not so, comments and criticism would be most appreciated.

I like the first one of the two better with the darks of the pews and the single red cushion zone that is lit by the light from the window. At first, I found it a shame that the top of the window was cut off, but the candelabra that is obvious in the second shot spoils the window top anyway. I like the second pair as I'm a fan of shallow DOF, and especially where it is used to select only one of the pew edges.

I love the 2nd one,the contrast between the darkness and the colourfull subject, superb.

I love the first but the third is my favorite by far, not really sure what you were thinking with the fourth, maybe I am missing something someone else sees, either way, nice shots

Of the 4 you posted I must say the second is by far my favorite. the way the red of the pew is highlighted draws you into the photo. Portrait does work much better on this then landscape.

The third is my favorite by far, the first two are a little too dark for me and I'm not sure about the composition in the fourth. Well done

I like the second shot which, although a bit dark, draws your eye towards the red cushions.

Thanks all, I think I will return to the church and try to shoot the 2nd shot from an angle that will give me the full window without the candelabra obscuring it.

Loved the first one. The red cushins and general darkness before and after them makes a very nice image.
