Below are a few recent shots I have taken - more examples can be viewed at my website www.blackshadow.com.au (http://www.blackshadow.com.au) - all shots were taken with a Canon 20D at ISO 1600 or 3200 and interchanging between Canon 24-70 f2.8L, Canon 50mm f1.4 or Sigma 30mm f1.4 lenses.

Some nice shots, 3 being the only one I don't like. 2 and 6 favorite. What's happening in #2 by the way? Some very strange 'noise' in the top right and middle left... Happend because of faulty BW conversion?

Thanks for the comments - AFAIK it is just the lighting/fog effect not noise in #2. No fault in the B&W conversion.

I like #5 a lot (maybe a bit more contrast would work), and I think the B&W works really well on #1; looks very "old school".

Looks like a fun band...

In #1, 3, & 4 the faces don't seem to have enough contrast. I like #2 although I wish he'd cut off the strings! I also like the second color one but the other two seem too soft. I notice they are all fairly identical in angle and focal length ... would be nice to see some wider angles and maybe a tight face. Hmmm, I feel like my comments are kinda nit picking given that I like the images so take them with a grain of salt (is that idiom Australian?)
