like something from a magical movie
I love it .
wonderful colours.

crunch time ...........
'maybe' too much 'saturation' ?
just a little bit 'too much' ?

if anything needed to be left out
it would be the pillar in the foreground .
also maybe show slightly more of that green sunshade and below it .
you would have to shoot from another angle though and that may not get as good a picture of the house at all either.
and
such a smooth look to the building itself makes the house look 'dreamy' and that might be where I see 'magical' .
brickwork is usually and naturally more rough (ish)looking ?

I guess its what gives it the 'magical' look though.
the smooth look and the colours.
thats if you want that effect.
........
the great beautiful moody sky here really sets it off
those flowers on the windowsills ,
the house itself ,
and that wonderful stonework
the colours (slightly toned down)
all make it a really beautiful photograph.

bottom line......
I do love it

whereabouts is it ?

Excellent colour. I'm not a big fan of architectural shots but these are very nice old buildings.
I was just reading a post from Mitch on another forum that I'll post here as soon as their server is up again.
It is about barrel distortion.
I think this image could benefit from it as the left side of the photo has quite a lot of distortion going on. Very evident on the left.

Thanks everyone for the good comments. :)

Colin. I never noticed the distortion until you pointed it out, but now that I can see it it bothers me slightly! I might look into trying to correct it sometime. I'll post the new version if I do. Thanks for your input here.

best regards
Martin.
