I debated this purchase for some time! It was between the 30D and this gem! I finally pushed the buy button yesterday at B&H, being the impatient sort, I paid for next day air. This arrived at my desk this morning.

A lot of us had Red Sharpie's on standby, when we first ordered the straps back when they were first being made.

Welcome to Club5. It looks like a lot of people have made the 5 D choice since the last Canon unvieling didn't offer as much as hoped for.
I gotta get me one of them RED Sharpies!

Congrats bigtime and lets see some ducks!

Newbie question: Sorry to go off topic, but I need to know something: What is it about the ducks that I keep reading about?

Also, how do I get me one of them POTN straps?

A number of the senior board members are nature shooters, particularly birds, so their "first use" posts tend to be of ducks. It's become a POTN tradition.

Also, how do I get me one of them POTN straps?
From the POTN Shop (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=86633) where you can also donate to support the board.

Thanks Everyone!

I have just taken a few shots in the office and around the house, I love it so far! Will post something this weekend.

I will try to find some Ducks, but mostly what I have seen this winter are large flocks of Geese that didn't go any farther south than Iowa this winter.
