After setup and some initial testing , I must say, you have done a great job Pekka.

This will be a top notch gallery script. I am looking forward to the 1.3-1.5 upgrade.

Regards

Thanks!

Do you have any ideas or suggestions (something useful missing perhaps?).

What would be great would be if we could create an exhibition that would dynamically show the latest additions in all others exhibitions (like the last 10 photos added, regardless of where they actually are).

I got EE 1.2 up and rolling and then jumped directly to EE 1.5 beta which is a big improvement. I eagerly await the next release.

I like the different options available for the index page - random, popular, latest. I would like to suggest another option for the microthumbs on the index page in common settings :

- by a specified array of photo numbers.
With the text, "Selected photos"

For example, I'd like the first thumbnail to be the first in the exhibit and then some other selected photos among the latest bunch. The only way to accomplish this now, is to choose the 'Output Format 5. dropdown menu and selected choices' and then insert the custom html in the Index Page welcome text. Instead, I'd to input the selected photo numbers, 2780, 2792, 2796, 2802, 2806.

And another suggestion, can you change it so that html is similarly executed in the news column, too?

Lightbox option for the EE-Commerce modul

Pekka, it would be great to have a kind of Lightbox or ware basket to collect the ordered pictures. When the user signs out he can choose Paypal or another option of EE-Commerce to order the pictures.

ImageFolio has an improved Lightbox with some interesting features !!!

This kind of feature will be added to EE for sure. But not into 1.5 (I have to draw line somewhere or else it is never out). Programming a 'personal collection' is not complex (cookies may be needed), but what I do not know about yet is how different print/buy services receive batch submissions.

I have not examined ImageFolio before, but I was flabbergasted of simplicity (and lack) of features they offer vs. the price they ask ???

Makes me think if I'm all wrong with EE pricing ;)

I added this to todo list. Perhaps not for 1.5 , but for 1.51 :)

I think this have been fixed in beta 2 (soon).

Well Pekka, the one advantage ImageFolio has over your version 1.5beta2 is that they released it :P

only poking fun :P more making fun of myself at how often I sit perched over this forum ready to pounce on your next version.

keep up the great work, we know you're busy. hmmmm, better refresh the forums to see if its out yet.
cheers,
Tim

That sounds reasonable.

And embedded links this soon to be released version.
Fantastic.

I had a look at imagefolio and I find the interface of the demo loud and messy compared to ee.

Pekka,

I would really like a "Receive future Email notification" feature once the person posted a comment.

Thanks!!
