I am really happy to come across this forum. I love live music and have just gotten into photography 2 years ago. I would like to improve my skills and have been reading some of the helpful threads here .
Comments appreciated.
After reading in another post that a few details would be appreciated since most posts here are similar I thought I would add this:
The venue was the Burnaby Blues Festival in Vancouver, a great annual outdoor event. The Neville bros. were top billing and came on stage just as the sun was setting. A superb concert, I was about 10 feet from the front of the stage , my favourite area for concerts... right at the front.. .
Lens used was 70 -200 f2.8IS

I think some wider crops would work well. They're nice shots...

Petty the microphone stand is in the way on #1. Nice shots otherwise.

Thanks Dwight,
I have just bookmarked your Qand A thread,
I am in heaven wandering around in here. This is as exciting as the dpreview forum I lived on for my first year into photos. My prime interests are nature and people with live music being the sprimaty people draw. Steve wants a crop with a Taylor guitar in it! Pretty nice images .... if you have more please post them.
