Here are a couple of butterflys that I can across on a slow birding day. These were the only flying wings I captured that day. Comments welcomed.

Yes that would be the Other Half....She was walking on the beach while I staked out the nest....

No, these were captured at Ding Darling NWP. My 12 year old daughter wanted to go shoot some birds with her 35mm film camera. It was a slow birding day, so the butterflys got my attention. We did go through the park a 2nd time that day and things really improved after that.

The first two were with the 100-400 and the last capture was with a 28-70L 2.8....

Altough i like #2 bfly the bokeh is better in #1.

The first has nice subtle colors and the second one has vibrant saturated color...both are very nice. The third one is my favourite the way it pops from the excellent background.....nice work!
