I think he means... when reviewing a picture with the histogram displayed the 'curve' (histogram) appears normal. So how would you test a picture with chromatic abberations.
My answer: you really won't be able to tell just by looking at the histogram. The only way is download the image to your computer and carefully examine.

In the display is litle curved on side of the picture and on a shot is same.My problem is when i capture with 90 degres angle anything on the side of the picture is(aberations or what, maybe lens is low quality on g3 idon`t know about quality of the lens on g3)Barrel Distortion i mean yeah what can i test?Pinchusion distortion on zoom thats simptom. How can i test this simptom??? etc.......There is a problem or what?

It sounds like a problem to me - definitely not typical behavior. Have you cleaned the lens thoroughly? Does the glass appear even and smooth?

Hi,
You should be able to test whether your camera has an extended amount of barrel distortion by
- photographing a structure like a brick wall (or the fence in the link you included)
- from a tripod that is adjusted parallel to the object
Normally, distortions occur if you photograph straight lines at an angle, especially in wide angle. There are special lenses that can correct this, (e.g. shift lenses), but they are normally quite expensive and make sense only if you do a lot of architeture work.
Try photographing a house (e.g. upward shoot ata churchtower) that fills the screen at full wide angle (e.g. 35 mm in 35 mm equivalent). You will get distortion.
If you photograph the same tower from a greater distance, with full zoom (e.g. 135 mm in 35 mm equivalent), the distortion should be much smaller.
Regards,
Andy

Is there on some model(g3),or eos and non digital more or less optical aberation much higher and what optical lens quality(CANON LENS) is on g3 i hear that is from eos 10d but i think that`s not??
