The last two are new today -- taken with the stacked Hoya closeup elements (+4, +2, +1) follwed by a 1.7X teleconverter (all on a 52mm Lensmate adapter).
Enjoy,

Fantastic. I love the blurred green in the background.

Beautiful!
I have a 58mm tube (or adapter whatever you call them) with a uv filter for my G3.
Would the 58mm Hoyas work on that with the 1.7x?

I don't any reason why not - you might even be able to use a little of the far end of the zoom, whereas I must be at full optical zoom to avoid vignetting. I would guess that zooming/vignetting would also be helped by using a single high powered element rather than the stacked kit. Unless I'm mistaken, my +4, +2, +1 would is the equivalent of one +7 element. It would be nice to be able to experiment. I won't be getting any more diopter filters, my next thing will be to try a reversed SLR lens. BTW, here is a site with some interesting G3 macro info (excluding the teleconverter):

Oke, you asked for it :)
You've made some very nice shots as well. I've never seen those colored wings before. Some of your shots are a bit overexposed, the background mud & water is dark and tricks the autoexposure. You could use some minus exposure compensation in those cirumstances.
A very low fill flash (-1 or -2) could give some extra reflection of the wings, giving them more structure. On some of the pictures the focus is on the tail, try to focus on the head and recompose. Macro focussing with the G3 is often hit-or-miss so shoot a lot and trow away the bad shots.
Get on level with your subject, this will give you much more involvement with the subject. The tilting LCD of the G3 is perfect for low-level shots.
Geert.
