I just bought a new G2. I'm charging the battery right now, and can't find any metion of whether it's ok or not to leave the charger on after the light turns green (100% charged). I hope it's alright to leave it on so I won't have to monitor it. Does anyone know the official Canon response?

Don't know about the G2, but the manual for my Pro90 tells me to unplug once the light turns green. It's amazing... the first 90% (steady amber light) takes about 90 minutes for a flat battery. The last 10% takes an additional two hours.

I don't know the answer to the question, but I know I have gotten in to the habit of using the camera after it goes solid orange and been very happy with the battery life. Every once in a while I let it go full green just because I think it is better for the battery (Although, I don't know for sure).
