So here's what I have been doing:

1)Shooting in Raw
2) Transfering images with Image Browser
3)Using File Viewer Utility for initial image tweeking, image sharpening, and converting to Tiffs.
3)Loading Tiffs into PS - using unsharp mask
4) Printing

Does produce nice results, but takes forever.

Is there a better way?

Hi,

Buy the Photoshop RAW plugin and patch it to read the 10D files. I use ACDSEE 5.0 for viewing the shots and selecting what to keep (it supports the CRW files), drag it from ACDSEE in PS (I use 2 monitors) and start editing.

Your workflow will be greatly reduced.

Greetings,
Frank

Take a look at Capture One.

It's quick, easy to use, and can do everything including the USM if that's all you're using PS for. Most people prefer the results too.

Just as another option, BreezeBrowser is very easy to use. I just use it to convert my raw into tiff and edit in Photoshop Elements 2.0

I've also read in this forum, please correct me if I'm wrong, that the Adobe Raw plug-in when made to work for the 10D gives inaccurate colors.

I DL'd the capture one, stupidly before vacation so by 15 days was up before I really got to use it.

But I keep hearing good stuff about it. Can you really use it to load pix straight from the cam and all the way to print? Will it do layout prints- AKA multiple pix on a page?
