I am looking at entering the Lumix photography competition, the only problem is i'm not 100% sure about the rules. SOMEONE on this forum must have at least had a look at it, if you have then can you explain why the theme for the competition is man and machine, but it seems like you can enter just about anything. I have E-mailed the webmaster, but as yet had no reply.

Can anyone shed some light on this please

By any means, go ahead and participate!

The requirements clearly are 'photos to be taken with A DIGITAL CAMERA'.

If they limited participation to the select crowd of Lumix owners, they would not have too many photos to choose from.

Andy

P.S.: You should post this in the G2 forum. After all, the grand price, the Lumix C5, is an exact copy (design and functionality) of the G2 :)

I know that only digital images are allowed, as far as I know they have not limited participation to lumix owners... I own a Olympus D-490 at the moment, i'm upgrading to a C750 tomorrow, so i'm not really that bothered about the actual camera ( i'm not going to win anything, it would be my first ever online competition entry!)

I am fairly new to digital photography, and I can use as much help as possible from the more experienced users on these boards......

Should I look for a more "open" competition that has no brand names attached to it?

Do Cannon have a competition? I will enter that as well.

Regards

Simon

Simon,

the first step might be to post some pictures you deem worthy of a competition in the 'share/critique photos' corner and ask other users for feedback.

That's one of the things this forum is for ...

Andy

Okay, but I do not not class any of my photo's as worthy of getting anywhere, in any competition at the moment!

But, I will post a couple anyway.

Okay, I am going to post my image(s) on the board that you suggested , if I get any problems can you give me a bit of help? I cant see anyway to directly place an image onto the board.

But I will try placing HTML directly into the post to start with....
