Retirement. Ahhh. Congratulations. I have 6 more years. I feel the same about Iowa Winters. I do not plan on spending winter in the same place twice once I retire.

1 retirement down... 1 to go. Winter? Used to live in Ohio now California. I can count the days it gets below freezing on one hand.

People make all sorts of claims about how wonderful retirement will be; Free time, pursue hobbies, travel, sleep late, well let me tell you, after three years of retirement I can unequivocally state that it is Better Than Advertised. :-)

I predict that I will retire in about 10 years and enjoy a leisurely life of traveling, cooking and photography

It was quite entertaining to watch the rollercoster my grampa felt when he retired.
First it was the "Lost Puppy" syndrome, didn't know what to do with all the time on his hands.
Then it was the "I'm going out for milk" syndrome, did what ever he could to kill time.
Now it's "How did I ever have time to work?", I guess he learned how to occupy himself.

Well I have now live in Rhodes Greece, is retirement all it's ment to be?. Well as I and my wife still wait for a new house to be built I have got to admit I find myself looking for things to do.
I don't miss the shift work,
Nice to go to bed when it's dark,
Do everything at your own pace (except the driving here, can't let anyone get in front of you for some reason)
Not have anyone telling you what to do or not to do (Except the wife).
All in all highly recomended.:):D:p:lol:
Oh Photogaphy DON'T HAVE THE TIME:lol:

Oh Photogaphy DON'T HAVE THE TIME
Shame on you.
Hope you are enjoying, but if you are building a house, I doubt it. That's the business I'm in & I wouldn't wish the headaches on anyone.
